Campaign signs on DePauw Property
The upcoming November 2nd election has DePauw students showing their support of candidates in public areas. Students in University Owned Apartments and Housing across campus have placed campaign signs for candidates outside their houses.
Director of Campus Life and Community Development Myrna Hernadez said that students are allowed to put up signs supporting their favorite candidates in the yards in front of houses and in dormitory windows without permission from her office.
Hernandez added, however, that if the signs or campaign materials became the cause of a roommate conflict or if the signage caused complaints, then CLCD would address the situation and possibly ask that the sign be taken down.
