WINTER WEATHER EMERGENCY
Snow and freezing rain are expected to continue until 9 PM Wednesday causing dangerous conditions across campus. Director of Public Safety, Angela Nally advises students to stay indoors due to current weather conditions. If food is needed, the Hub and Den remain open and are keeping regular hours. According to an email from Vice-President for Academic Affairs, David Harvey, Roy O. West Library and the Lilly Center will close at 3 PM, and all other academic buildings will remain closed. These buildings are locked, and swipe card access for all students has been deactivated.
The entire area is currently under a Level 2 Road Advisory Warning and Public Safety urges students to avoid driving until roads are cleared of ice. DePauw University Physical Plant crews are working to keep sidewalks passable, though little progress has been made.
DePauw University administration will be meeting throughout the day to determine the University’s course of action for tomorrow. An official announcement regarding tomorrow will be aired tonight on WGRE at 5 PM.
Stay tuned to WGRE for weather updates, school closings, and latest news.
