Board of Trustees Results
President Casey says the members of the Board of Trustees were enthusiastic about the future possibilities for DePauw. Casey met with the Board this past weekend. The board approved the tuition and fees for the 2012-2013 academic year. There will be a 2,250 dollar increase in tuition, room and board for the coming academic year. This is a 4.9% increase from the current tuition. Casey says this is necessary to provide the education and experience DePauw wants to maintain. With this increase the University should be able to provide salary increases for faculty and staff.
Dean Mark McCoy reported to the Board and received a full endorsement of the strategic plans he laid out for the school of music. The Board also requested detailed reports on projects including development to athletic facilities, the Center for Student Engagement, Roy O. West Library, the dining hall, and student housing. But Casey says majority of funding for these projects will be provided through fundraising.
